The company
A Global Manufacturing company based in Twickenham, with over 80 years experience of suppling electronic/electromechanical instruments and devises into the aerospace, defence and medical industries. Due to continual growth the company are seeking to expand their team and are looking for a Quality Engineer to help maintain the quality of their products and deal with customer returns.
The role
A Quality Engineer is now required to join the team on a permanent basis, to manage investigations for customer returns. The hours for the role are 8-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8-1:30pm on Fridays.
You will take responsibility for:
- Manage investigations for customer returns, service failures, and internal manufacturing issues, including the identification of mechanical and electrical faults
- Organise repairs and maintain a returns database upon receipt of products
- Conduct routine high-volume assessments for overhauls through unit strip-down and visual inspection techniques
- Support investigations into internal product failures using electrical and mechanical test equipment, and document repair and overhaul instructions
- Support mechanical inspection using various tools, verify supplier First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and compile FAIRs to AS9102 standards for internal products
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Previous experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Experience with EASA Part 145 / Part 21, AS9100 or Aerospace Industry
- Proficient in FAIRs
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Previous experience documenting repair and overhaul instructions within part 145 requirements
