The company
A leading components and assemblies manufacturer supplying into some of the world's most prestigious Aerospace and Automotive businesses globally. Due to a significant increase in key projects, the company is now seeking a Project Engineer to join the team at their Walsall site.
The role
Now looking for a dynamic and all-rounded, Project Engineer to take control of projects from their Willenhall location, who will report to the Engineering Manager. The hours for the role are 7:30-4pm Monday-Thursday and 7:30-1pm on Fridays
You will take responsibility for:
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the assigned engineering projects
- Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants for help and technical support
- Dealing with 1-10 projects at anytime, up to the value of £6 million
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Proven working experience as a Project Engineer
- Awareness of every part of a project (design software such as AutoCAD / Quality documents PPAPs, PSWs, APQP / NPI / Purchasing)
- Experience working within the Automotive and Aerospace industries
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Engineering Degree or Apprenticeship trained
- Prince2 qualification
