Control System Engineer (Contract - 2 years)
(6 Months Working in Germany Required)
The company
One of the world's largest privately owned machine tool manufacturers, operating globally, supporting key OEM's operating within the Automotive industry and with a 75% share of the rapidly expanding EV Car market, with annual revenues exceeding a billion pounds. After Taking on large international contracts within the Automotive industry and now implementing a number of key automation projects with UK Automotive customers, the company are now looking to expand their team and take on multiple Experienced Service Engineers on long-term contract basis.
The role
A Control System Engineer is now required join the team on a long-term contract basis required to work at various customer sites across the midlands with the focus predominately in Wolverhampton and Gaydon.
You will take responsibility for:
- Initially required to train and build in Germany over a 6-month period, to then begin installation at UK customer premises with the project expected to be completed over a 2-year period.
- Responsible for the (Electro-Mechanical) Installation, commissioning and build on Special purpose machinery.
- Fault finding, and identifying on PLC'S, Siemens, S7, TIA PORTAL.
- Breakdowns and installations on Robotics primarily KUKA, ABB.
- Maintain and Service post installation.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Experience/Ability to Fault find on PLC'S- TIA Portal / Beckhoff
- Experience/Ability to Program on PLC'S- TIA Portal / Beckhoff
- Electro-Mechanical Maintenance in an industrial/Manufacturing environment.
- Experience within a manufacturing/Engineering/Production environment.
- Experience within an Engineering role, Maintenance/Service etc.
- Experience working on Automation Projects/Machinery.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Programming experience on Robotics, ABB, KUKA etc.
- Experience with EV drives.
