The company
A global supply chain and logistics solution provider to some of the world's largest Automotive, Technology, MedTech, Industrial and Healthcare corporations. Are on an urgent search for a new team member. Due to new implementations the company are seeking an MHE Assessor to join their Engineering team in Wolverhampton.
The role
A MHE Assessor is now required join the team on a permanent basis.
You will take responsibility for:- Ensuring MHE drivers are following health and safety regulations
- Ensuring training is carried out in accordance with the programme
- Follow timescales and meet operational requirements in line with legislation
- Use fleet management systems
- Provide necessary paperwork for training within in a timely manner and accurately record evidence of undertaken training
- Undertake periodic racking assessments to SEMA standard *(preferable but training is provided)
- Make certain of safe working practices for manual handling/ mechanical handling
What you need
- Strong communication and written skills
- Health and safety knowledge
- Ability to maintain good relationships with line managers and co-workers
- Good initiative for working towards deadlines
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:- Previous experience as MHE assessor/trainer
- Ideally experienced with training or assessing one of the following:
- Counterbalance, reach, scissor lift or tug
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience of a training function within a warehouse environment
- A sound knowledge of manual handling techniques to assessor level
- RTITB Lift Truck and Scissor Lift instructor qualification
