Assembly Operative- Afternoons
The company
A leading manufacturing business based in Birmingham who specialise in cutting edge Automation projects, working closely with some of the world's leading businesses. After securing a number of long term contracts with key customers, the company are seeking to expand their production team and are looking for Assembly operatives to join them.
The role
Assembly Operatives are now required to join the team on a long-term ongoing basis on a permanent afternoon shift with the contract expected to last between 12-24 months.
You will take responsibility for:
- Using hand and power tools to assemble mechanical parts
- Working to drawings to assemble sub-assemblies
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience of working with hand/power tools
- Comfortable to be working in a fast paced production environment
- Is able to read and work to drawings
What is on offer
On offer is the chance to join a large manufacturing business who offer stability due to the long term contracts they have to fulfil with their customers. There is a varied amount of work for the successful candidates and because of unprecedented demand with their customers, there is plenty of overtime available in addition- You can regularly expect 10 hours of overtime every week for the next 6-12 months.You will also benefit from a salary/rate of £19,000-£25,000 (£9-£11.50). Hours available include, 2pm-10pm/12am Monday-Friday
