The company
One of the leading specialist building materials suppliers across the West Midlands working closely with some of the largest companies within the construction/commercial sectors. After securing several long-term contracts with key customers, the company are seeking to expand their team and are looking for a Health and Advisor to join them at their head office in Walsall.


The role
A Health and Safety Advisor now required join the team on a permanent basis.

You will take responsibility for:

• Planning/carrying out of Risk assessment for projects.
• Implementation/updating company Health and safety in accordance with Health and Safety laws and legislation's
• Monitoring and ensuring all appropriate safety inspections are carried out
• Delivering and developing company training programs/ to improve company H&S standards
• Creation of H & S systems/policies to ensure safe working conditions
• Inspection of all equipment and facilities to identify/correct hazards
• Investigating incidents/accidents relating to worker compensation claims

What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• NEBOSH or IOSH certification or equivalent
• Prior experience in a Health and safety management position
• Knowledge of health and safety laws/legislations
• Excellent organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work independently

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Experience in a construction/building material environment
