Field Service Engineer
The company
Our client is a Leading Global Industrial Equipment Supplier specialising in the design, installation, and Manufacturing aspects of Heavy industry equipment. Supplying into Key Manufacturing and Aerospace businesses. Our client is Looking for a Service Engineer, to join their service Team in Dudley and to help fulfil the needs of Customers on a UK Wide basis.
The role
A Service Engineer is now required join the team on a permanent basis.
You will take responsibility for:
- Responding to routine service and breakdown requests with customers
- Providing coverage to customer UK Wide where you can expect to be out responding to customer issues, including some overnight stay
- PLC Fault finding/Identifying using Logic software
- Liaise with internal departments to coordinate Purchasing components and Deliveries
- Performing site reports for each site visit,
- Servicing of Heavy Industry Equipment, such as Fans, pumps, hydraulics, Furnaces
- Some abroad travel is required including staying overnight, but not regularly.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Experience within Maintenance/Engineering or Field service
- 16th/17/18th Edition, Strong electrically
- PLC Fault Finding Experience
- Experience with Heavy Duty Industry (pumps, fans, hydraulics, pneumatics, Furnaces)
- Understanding of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering drawings
- Electrically/Mechanically biased, including Electro-Mechanical maintenance experience
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- PLC PROGRAMMING
