CNC Programmer (Turner) (Fanuc)

The company

A well-established privately-owned manufacturing company who specialises in subcontract CNC machining, supporting a range of industries including Automotive, Defence and the wider general manufacturing sector. Due to significant recent investment, an increase in orders and the purchase of the state-of-the-art CNC machinery, the company are looking to add a CNC machinist to their stable team.

The role

A CNC Programmer (Fanuc Mills and Lathes) is now required to join the team, with a variety of hours/shifts available to suit the successful applicants. Shifts available include a day shift 7am-5pm (Monday-Thursday), Option on working Friday, paid overtime at Time and a half

You will take responsibility for:

• One offs and small batch production
• Machining a range of materials including, Mild Steel, Stainless steel and Nickel Alloys such as Invar
• Working with a range of parts, which include heavy fabrications cast iron components
• Working with full autonomy, taking responsibility for own work and programming from scratch

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• A strong understanding of CNC Programming (FANUC), setting & operating
• Previous experience within a precision machining/subcontract machining environment- Candidates from heavy engineering/fabrication sectors are encouraged to apply
• Experience of CNC Turning and Milling is essential

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Previous experience of working with a range of materials and heavy fabrications
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable however candidates looking for their first supervisory role are highly encouraged to apply

Along with this you will benefit from a competitive salary of between £30,000-£35,000 (£15-£16 per hour), competitive shift allowances, 33 days holiday, pension and sickness insurance whilst also having the opportunity of increased overtime paid at 1.5x the hourly rate.
