Transport Planner
The company
A well-established, independently owned family business based in Wednesbury, with a turnover of over £200million, specialising in the food industry, sourcing food products from around the globe to distribute to manufactures, retailers and wholesalers. They are now looking to recruit a new Transport Planner to the team.
The role
A Transport Planner is now required who will be responsible for Planning routes for 43 vehicles and managing and dealing with 40 drivers.
You will take responsibility for:
- Planning routes for 43 vehicles
- Managing 40 drivers
- Route planning using Paragon software
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Previous experience as a transport planner working within Transport industry with food and/or retail experience an added advantage
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience of Paragon software
What is on offer
On offer is a chance to join a well-established family run business with an excellent reputation in the local area, working hours are Monday- Friday 9am-6pm however they are flexible on hours and may be required to work the occasional Saturday. The salary on offer is between £25,000- £28,000 on a permanent basis.
