Instrument Engineer

The company

A global manufacturing business based in Birmingham supplying into the world's leading Aerospace and defence Industries. The company is now undergoing significant expansion across its flagship Birmingham site due to a huge influx of demand with key customers and on the back of this growth are seeking an Instrument Engineer to join their team.

The role

An Instrument Engineer reporting to the Engineering manager, to assist in the instrumentation of project delivery and solutions.

You will take responsibility for:

• Working on a variety of machinery such as furnaces making modifications and calibrations
• Fault finding and repairs of machinery
• Working on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Auditing and documenting evidence

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• HNC or degree qualified in mechanical or other discipline engineering
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Knowledge and experience within the aerospace industry is desirable
• Experience of Instrumentation techniques on similar equipment such as Furnaces, Ovens and/or heat treatment equipment would be highly advantageous
