Android Developer / Mobile Software Engineer
Our client is a fast-growing financial organisation based in the EMEA region and are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join their highly driven technology team. This is a UK-based role and is fully remote, working on a contract basis. They are looking for collaborative leaders with the spirit to make change happen. They champion brave new ideas that will transform customer experiences and someone who shows a passion for clean code.
Role responsibilities
This role is reliant upon a deep understanding of customer centricity and understanding customers 'jobs to be done' from a bank.
The role will revolve around developing new mobile apps and online experiences; using digital messaging to build the relationship with our customers; building and improving the underlying technology and security platforms; and innovating our propositions to compete effectively in a mobile, data-driven world.
We are looking for an individual with a strategic and innovate approach to delivery, comfortable with a high level of ambiguity prepared to relentlessly drive through extensive change to an aggressive timeline.
Experience
- Object Oriented Programming
- Kotlin/Java for Android
- Supporting designs on different screen sizes and resolutions
- Android SDK and App Lifecycle
- Design patterns like MVVM, MVP and/or MVI
- Web service integration (REST, JSON) using Retrofit and OkHttp
- GIT usage and code management
- Reactive and functional programming (Rx, Coroutines, Flow etc)
- Task/ticket management tools such as JIRA
- Documenting Android solutions and code
- Experience developing highly available code and systems that scale efficiently
