The Company
A global supply chain and logistics solution provider to some of the world's largest Automotive, Technology, MedTech, Industrial and Healthcare corporations. Specializing in the design and implementation of logistical solutions. Due to a significant increase in demand with a number of key customers, they are seeking a facilities Manager to join their team at their new facility in Burton.
The role
A Facilities Manager is required to join the team on a permanent basis at a brand-new facility in Burton.
You will take responsibility for:
- Maintaining compliance for sites by ensuring they are legally and regulatory compliant
- Making sure repairs and services are carried out safely and legally
- Assistance on technical tasks and replace or repair of parts
- Assisting and giving direction on diagnosis of problems, replacing, and repairing of parts, tests
- Managing requests for purchasing of equipment
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- 3 years' experience performing facility related maintenance in a manufacturing/logistics related facility
- Confident communicating effectively with customers, experience working with internal and external stakeholders, management, and subcontractors
- A strong understanding of and record of compliance with local regulations and contracts
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and management of a multitude of projects
- Ideally an understanding of relevant legislations such as LOLER, PUWER, Electrical Safety and racking
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Computer proficient and ideally able to read AutoCAD drawings
- A BIFM Level 3 or higher, or willingness to study for it
- Experience within a Logistics/Manufacturing industry would be advantageous but not essential
