The company
A global Specialist Machine Tool Manufacturing Business based in Derby, working closely with some of the world's leading businesses. After seeing a large increase in production and orders within their customer base, the company are seeking to expand their team and are looking for a Service Engineer to join them on a permanent basis to provide service coverage in the Midlands Region.
The role
A Service Engineer/Installation Engineer are now required join the team on a permanent basis.
You will take responsibility for:
- Installation of large-scale and small-scale machinery
- Technical support to customers regarding any issues or breakdowns with equipment
- Servicing and Fault finding on equipment and machinery, primarily through feed equipment
- Interrogating and fault finding on PLCS
- Carrying out regular OEM recommended service checks on customers machinery
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Electro-Mechanical experience (multi-skilled 50%-50%)
- Mechanical or Electrical qualifications (HNC, HND, NVQ Level, etc.)
- 16th 17th 18th Edition electrical qualifications
- Sociable and customer facing skills, able to problem solve and troubleshoot, and the ability to work within a team or independently.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience with and an understanding of PLCS would be desirable
- Experience of working in automation / robotics would be highly advantageous
