The company
One of the UK's largest and fastest growing, privately owned machine tool manufacturers who have a fantastic reputation for quality, service and aftermarket support across their wide-ranging customer portfolio. On the back of this continued success and growth, the company are seeking an experienced Service Manager / Coordinator to join them at their Leamington facility.
The role
An experienced Service Manager/Coordinator is now required to join the team to work within the production & build team to help build bespoke machine tools and special purpose machinery, within a team of 8 engineers.
You will take responsibility for:
- Supporting automation projects to key customers
- Coordinating the design and build of machines
- Purchasing and coordinating of parts and consumables required for the project build
- Supporting the build teams where necessary
- Splitting your time between managing the project build whilst being hands on and getting involved with the build also
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Ideally qualified in electrical engineering / electronics (minimum HNC) or to have completed an apprenticeship
- Previous experience in a Service/Maintenance/Build role within the Machine Tool industry
- Good knowledge of PLC's and/or robotics
- A key understanding of CNC Machining and/or robotics & robot programming
- Ideally have previous experience in leading projects and/or service/build teams
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience of CNC programming with Fanuc/Heidenhain controls would be highly advantageous
What is on offer
On offer is the opportunity to join one of the market leading Machine Tool companies who will offer unrivalled demand for their product. The customer has over 5000 machines actively running in the UK across a wide-ranging customer base meaning they are extremely busy with fresh work and ongoing projects available. On the back of this demand, you can expect to earn £45,000-£50,000 annually along with a bonus of £5,000-£10,000 which is paid quarterly. OTE for this role would be £45,000-£55,000 depending on your experience and background, whilst the company also offer a company vehicle and private healthcare.
