The company
A leading supplier of Body in White (BIW) components and assemblies within the automotive industry, supplying into some of the world's largest automotive blue-chip companies, are now looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team who will take overall responsibility for a small team of 20, operating autonomously with complete responsibility for a small business unit.
The role
A Production Supervisor is now required to join their team working in a permanent job role, will be responsible for the whole site and team.
You will take responsibility for:- Managing 20+ workers within the Fabrication, Brake Press, Welding and Assembly functions
- Supervising and monitoring work for one of the four sites that the company have.
- Managing material availability, orders and stock working along with the finance team.
- Managing a team which involves recruitment, inductions, and training.
- Health & Safety awareness and being responsible for the security of the site.
- Following the deadlines in terms of time, cost of space for the production plan.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:- Managing experience ideally within a Sheet Metal/ BIW/ Automotive/ Manufacturing setting
- Supervisory/ management experience
- Good communication skills and autonomy to make decisions
- IT Literate to monitor & control levels of materials and stock
Other DESIRABLE skills include:- Hands on experience of processes such as Laser/ Brake Press/Welding/Sheet Metal processing would be advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience working within the Automotive industry and standards would be advantageous but not essential
