The company
A renowned high precision machine tool manufacturer with a worldwide distribution network working closely with some of the world's leading companies across a wide range of sectors. Now seeking a dynamic, results-driven Service Manager to join the business and embark on an exciting journey.
The role
Reporting to the Global Service Director, A Service Manager is now required to join the business to oversee and drive the success of the after sales service at their Rugby based office.
You will take responsibility for:
- Maintaining effective communication across all key customers; understanding their unique requirements, managing their inquiries, generating quotes, processing orders, and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Handing parts management, including determining warrant coverage for failures, processing parts returns to the factory and identifying parts from technical drawings and documents.
- Providing technical support to customers and engineers in the field and coordinating the allocation of engineers to breakdowns and routine service tasks.
- Strategically organising service activities to maximise efficiency and financial performance within budget constraints.
- Managing the end-to-end service process, including overseeing costs/budgets.
- Ensuring health and safety of the workforce with the ability to conduct risks assessments and prepare method statements.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- HNC Qualified or apprentice trained in engineering or similar discipline.
- Ideally has a minimum of 3 years of service/maintenance experience within the machining sector.
- Exposure to or experience within a leadership/management role with the ability to demonstrate commercial acumen, analytical skills and effective man management.
- Excellent communication skills and autonomy to make decisions
Other DESIRABLE skills include:- Experience in CNC Lathe setting and Fanuc programming would be highly advantageous
