Part Time (Senior) HR Advisor (Interim)
Are you an HR professional looking for an opportunity to work with one of the World's largest corporations? You will have the opportunity to work in partnership with a global market-leading manufacturer as an integral part of their internal people-centric solution.
The roleReporting to the HR Manager , you will be a conscientious and employee-focused HR expert joining our client on an initially interim basis working part-time within their HR function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic HR Team on a flexible 16-24 hour a week contract
You will take responsibility for:· General administrative duties such as attending meetings and taking notes for distribution by e-mail and/or archiving
· Involvement in supporting HR daily activity & improvement projects
· Maintaining and organising employee records & employment contracts whilst helping to to develop employee relations
· Assisting in payroll, annual leave and overtime management
· Updating HR databases and holistic employee record-keeping
· Reporting regularly on critical HR metrics such as planned vs actual labour, absence, sickness, holiday, gender mix etc
· Review of existing policies and procedures such as absence management and associated processes
· Project based approach to driving diversity and inclusion
· The development and implementation of specific policies e.g. Drug & Alcohol policy, review of family friendly policies etc.
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:· Previous experience in an HR function ideally within the Manufacturing / Logistics / Distribution / Automotive industries
· Administrative capabilities and strong IT Skills including proficiency with Office 365 and MS Excel
· Strong communication skills both written and verbal
· Ability to work in a team and work independently where required
· Enthusiastic and personable with a willingness to interact with a wide range of people (office, warehouse staff, overseas colleagues)
Other DESIRABLE skills include:· Proven experience and a track record of undertaking projects around DE&I and also HR policy development and implementation.
· CIPD Qualifications are not a necessity for this role but would be advantageous
· Experience working within a Logistics / Manufacturing / Automotive organisation
· Experience of Power BI would be desirable
What is on offer?On offer is the chance to join one of the largest automotive and manufacturing companies in the world. With a competitive salary of £28,000-£32,000 (pro-rata) as well as 25 days annual leave + public holidays. The position has an expected duration of between 3-6 months with the potential of a permanent role thereafter. You are expected to work 2.5 days a week (with potential for flexibility) within an entirely office-based role, with the option of 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm.
