A Leading Construction Main Contractor working across a diverse range of sectors from commercial, industrial, and logistics. With a reputation for end-to-end project management, the company pride themselves in delivering quality service and client satisfaction. Due to a series of significant ongoing and upcoming projects, the business is now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to become an integral part of their Commercial Team
The role
A Senior Quantity Surveyor, to join their commercial Team to lead and manage a range of commercial and industrial projects.
You will take responsibility for:
- Using your knowledge and expertise to lead large teams whilst supporting employee development and providing mentorship.
- Managing all commercial aspects of the project lifecycle from concept to completion including internal cost budgeting and reporting, procurement, time management, risk assessment, etc.
- To continuously liaise with and maintain crucial relationships with key project stakeholders.
- Preparing contract documentation
- Collaborating closely with the Pre-Construction Department, HSEQ Team senior management, operational leads, and board directors.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- A proven track record in managing large projects from cradle to grave within commercial / industrial/ logistics settings.
- Commercial awareness and excellent knowledge of construction methods, strategies and processes
- Must be a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills with exemplary leadership qualities
- Forward thinking, multi-tasking, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet crucial deadlines.
- Have a methodical approach to every task with excellent man-management skills with the capability to motivate teams
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience of managing Refurbishment Projects
- High value projects upwards of 30 million
- Chartership
