The company
Are you looking for a new CNC Setter / Operator role our client is a leading manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality components for their internal assembly flow lines. At their Kent location, they pride themselves on precision engineering and excellence in production.
The role
As a CNC Setter / Operator, you will play a vital role in their production process. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC multi-tasking lathes to manufacture components to the highest quality standards and on schedule.
You will take responsibility for:- Set and operate CNC lathes efficiently to produce small to medium size batches of work.
- Inspect work to Engineering drawings using various measuring equipment and report any quality defects to management.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on machines.
- Improve efficiencies through reduced set-up and cycle times, as well as monitor tool life.
- Perform de-burring, cleaning, final inspection.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful CNC Setter / Operator to have the following:- Proven experience in CNC turning, setting and operating.
- Proficient in interpreting Engineering drawings and using measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and compliance.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
