A Leading Machine Tool Manufacturing Business who has built their reputation on excellence and innovation. After seeing a significant increase in demand with their worldwide distribution network, catering to industry leaders across diverse sectors, the company are now looking for a Field Service Engineer to join them on a permanent basis to provide coverage in Ireland / Northern Ireland.
The role
A Field Service Engineer is now required to join the team on a permanent basis to provide coverage across the Republic of Ireland / Northern Ireland.
You will take responsibility for:
- Responding to routine service and breakdown requests with a wide range of customers, on a variety of machinery of CNC sliding head and fixed head lathes and machining centres.
- Providing on-site service, commissioning, and preventative maintenance of CNC Lathe Machines.
- Responsible for on-site installations and post installation support
- To be involved with continuous training and development of new machinery with the occasional requirement to travel to international customer sites/HQ.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Excellent knowledge and experience working on Machine Tools/CNC machines (servicing or maintaining)
- Electro-Mechanical Maintenance in an industrial/Manufacturing/Metal working environment.
- Experience with High Axis Machining & Exposure to Sliding head lathes.
- Ability to diagnose faults using PLC systems and familiar with CNC Controls (Fanuc and Mitsubishi)
- Must have a flexible working approach, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Previous experience of working with Mill/Turn hybrid CNC Machinery
- Ideally apprenticeship trained / HNC Qualified in mechanical/electrical engineering or similar discipline.
What is on offer
On offer is the chance to join one of the Largest Machine Tool Manufacturers, offering a great salary of €52,000-€62,000 (OTE). Other benefits include health insurance, pension contribution, a company vehicle, all expenses paid , tools and PPE, annual appraisals, and plenty of overtime available. You will be expected to work 5 days a week 8.30am - 5.30pm.
