HSE Advisor - £30,000-£35,000
The company
A global manufacturer/supplier of safety products based in Birmingham with over 85 years in operation. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a HSE Coordinator to their team, to lead on all Health and Safety matters for the site.
The role
A HSE Coordinator is now required to join the team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. The proposed hours for the role are 8-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8-2:30pm on Fridays, but these can be quite flexible.
You will take responsibility for:
- Act as the main point of contact for all site Health and Safety matters
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and investigations, producing reports and statistics
- Ensure implementation and enforcement of the company's statutory duties and policies
- Assist driving change and improvements to the company's EHS objectives
- Act as the company's expert witness as and when required
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Minimum of an IOSH Managing Safely Certification
- HSE background ideally within a logistics / manufacturing / construction / site setting however all backgrounds are considered
- Good knowledge of Safety Management Systems
- Be able to communicate with stakeholders of all levels effectively
- Basic computer skills - Word, Excel & Data Collation
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- A NEBOSH Certification is desirable
