The role We are currently seeking a talented
Design Engineer to join our client permanently. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in automating processes within the automotive industry, focusing on Jigs & Fixtures, ultrasonic machines, and adhesive and sealing applications. Utilise your engineering prowess and CAD skills while collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform ideas into well-engineered solutions. This role operates on a five-day workweek (Monday to Friday) from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
You will take responsibility for:- Generate 2D and 3D design drawings for existing equipment.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design reports.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to conceptualise new products or enhancements to existing ones.
- Assume responsibility for concept design reviews of tailor-made and bespoke automation solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design management, and project management, to ensure alignment with project goals.
What you need It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:- Previous experience with Solidworks CAD software.
- Proficiency in working with Pneumatics or Pneumatic cylinders, Servo Drives & Sensors.
- Proven track record as a Design Engineer in the manufacturing/engineering space.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:- Experience in Special Purpose Machinery
