The role The successful candidate will have teaching responsibility for a group of learners with complex needs in the form of moderate to severe learning difficulties. The groups taught are Entry level 3 to Level 1. The planning for this role is in place and will generally be delivery only. The lesson plans will be provided for the tutor.
You will take responsibility for:- Helping with the Hospitality group and also teach ILS skills to the rest of LEAP.
- Teach cooking and use the kitchen as well as cover theory elements.
- To have a clear understanding of the Education Inspection Framework, in line with OFSTED inspections
- Participate in the PSHE curriculum and pastoral welfare of learners, specifically as a group tutor and personal tutor who is an integral part in helping shape, support, monitor the learner journey.
- Deliver course content in areas such as
- Preparation for Adulthood, Functional Skills or other similar provisions within your timetable as directed by the Curriculum Area Manager.
What you need It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to: - Minimum of 12 months UK work experience in education
- Experience of working in an Education and/ or SEN setting
- Adhere to the College's Health and Safety policy.
- Undertake any necessary training or updating.
- Participate in the development of equal opportunities, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding within the department and across the College.
- Contribute to the team's self-assessment activities.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as required by the College.
