The company
A leading components and assemblies manufacturer supplying into some of the world's most prestigious Aerospace and Automotive businesses globally. Due to a significant increase in key projects, the company is now seeking a Quality Engineer to join the team at their Walsall site.
The role
A Quality Engineer, who will report directly into the Quality Manager, is now required to join the team permanently. The hours for the role are 7:30-4pm Monday-Thursday and 7:30-1pm on Fridays.
You will take responsibility for:
- Conducting internal audits and maintaining calibration controls
- Managing FAIR and PPAP Processes for the Automotive and Aerospace sectors
- Handling general quality topics, including NC product investigations and 8D reporting
- Leading efforts to identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process and implementing strategies to enhance overall product quality and operational efficiency
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Mechanical background
- Experience using 8D, PPAP, APQP & FAIRs
- Excellent computer skills
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Internal Auditor of any of the following ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100 or IATF16949
