Mobile Mechanic

The Company

A renowned company specialising in the manufacture and distribution of commercial vehicle bodies and trailers catering to a wide range of industries, including logistics, transportation, and construction. Due to a significant increase in volumes and on the back of the company's growth, the customer is now seeking a mobile Mechanic to join their service team to cover the South Region.

The role

Reporting directly to the GM and Aftersales Manager, a Mobile Mechanic, is required to join the business to be responsible for the maintenance and repairs for commercial vehicle bodies and lifting equipment across the London and Greater London Region.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri - 08:30 - 17:00

You will take responsibility for:

• Carrying all service, repair, and refurbishment work for commercial vehicle bodies and lifting equipment; tail lifts, roller shutters, crash cushions, etc.
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out regular maintenance inspections
• Liaising with and providing technical support to a number of customers and providing regular feedback to the management team
• Liasing with management team to provide accurate quotations for work repair work carried out
• Managing your week; schedules, travel time, reporting

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Previous experience working as a vehicle fitter/mechanic with all levels of experience.
• Experience of working with commercial vehicles / HGVs
• Ideally C&G/NVQ qualified or equivalent in mechanics or similar field, although all levels of qualifications and training will be considered.
• Must have a full UK driving license.
• Must be flexible as role has on-call requirements (On-call Bonuses paid extra).

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Experience of servicing/maintaining commercial lifting equipment would be highly advantageous although not essential as training is provided.

You would benefit from a salary of £34,000 - £36,000 based on a 45-hour week with plenty of overtime available.
