Graduate Electrical Engineer

The company

A global manufacturing business based in Birmingham supplying into the world's leading Aerospace and defence Industries. The company is now undergoing significant expansion across its flagship Birmingham site due to a huge influx of demand with key customers and on the back of this growth are seeking a graduate level electrical engineer to join their team.

The role

A Graduate Electrical Engineer who will assist in the design, development and maintenance of electrical systems and components in aviation and automotive products.

You will take responsibility for:

• Leading and supporting projects related to new or replacement of equipment/plant whilst ensuring quality compliance
• providing engineering input to solve complex and challenging engineering problems in a manufacturing environment.
• Training and working on control systems
• Progressing in the knowledge of practical application, Health and Safety processes and procedures, documentation, scope of works creation, project planning, execution and management, support, and guide shopfloor maintenance personnel.

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• A recently obtained HNC in Electrical or electronic Engineering OR a recent degree within an Electrical/Electronic Engineering related field
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
• Be aware of electrical safety and Strong communication skills

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Knowledge and experience of PCB and computer operating machinery
• Some knowledge of CAD and PLC
