The company
A leading Aluminium and Cast metals supplier for the Aerospace and Automotive industries, providing specialist tooling solutions operating across 10 Key UK locations as part of a wider group. As a result of recent substantial growth on the back of significant investment, they are now looking to expand their Maintenance Team.
Working Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6amThe role
A Maintenance Engineer is now required to join the business to take responsibility for the execution of preventative and reactive maintenance across their Worcester site.
You will take responsibility for:
- To assist in the breakdown recovery of a variety of Furnaces and Press machines and various other equipment associated with the site.
- To inspect, diagnose faults and repair all machines
- Fault Finding both Mechanically and Electrically
- Ensuring that all work complies with health and safety guidelines
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Candidate must have experience of working in a mechanical/electrical maintenance role in a heavy manufacturing/automotive/aerospace setting.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to make critical decisions whilst working under pressure
- Good communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Must be well versed with Health and Safety and risk-assessment
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience of maintaining/working with Presses/furnaces/machine tools/Injection moulding/Extrusion would be highly advantageous
- Previous experience of working in the maintenance of mechanical and/or electrical equipment, with working in the Aluminium and Cast Metals sector being desirable.
- Must be apprenticeship trained and/or hold Industry training certifications
