Java Developer with Cloud Experience - Outside IR35 - up to £350 - remote
Our client is an exciting technology consultancy based in the City and offers software development services to some of the biggest blue chips in the world. They are currently looking for a talented Java Developer with Cloud Experience to join their ever-growing team. This Java Developer role is completely remote and would suit a self-starter that's able to hit the ground running.
The Java Developer will be able to work independently, act as a strong voice within the team and help drive the team forward with an open-minded and experienced approach. This Java Developer role is fully remote.
Java Developer - Role Responsibilities
- Design high-end applications for an esteemed group of high profile clients.
- Determine the scope of software development projects, as well as collaborate on the development of software applications.
- Obtaining and integrating end-user feedback.
- Keep up to date with Java development best practices.
Java Developer - Essential Experience
- 4-10 years of hands-on professional experience using Core Java, Java Restful APIs, Maven, Spring, JavaScript Typescript, React (or similar), NodeJS and other frameworks
- Mandatory skills: Java, Rest APIs, units, Shell scripting, Cloud experience (Compute, Storage and Networking) is a must (GCP most preferred)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design and development. Proficient with database technologies (preferably NoSQL) including modelling, testing and performance tuning
- Competency with version control systems (git) and CI CD tools (Jenkins)
- Good understanding of Agile.
- Core Java with JDBC and Hibernate
Java Developer - Desirable Experience
- Additional skills: JavaScript, UI
- Solid understanding of backup and replication concepts.
- Knowledge of Storage, File Systems, Virtualization, Databases, SAN and Networking concepts
