The company
One of the UK's largest industry leading, independent, family-owned Agricultural manufacturer who are well established with a fantastic reputation nationwide. Due to a significant increase in hi-tech computer-controlled production, now approaching 300,000 tonne capacity, a maintenance engineer is now required to join their Team at their Loughborough based facilities.
The role
Working under the engineering manager, a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer is now required to join the business to work as part of a large team to maintain a range of processing equipment within a busy manufacturing setting.
You will take responsibility for:
- To assist in the breakdown recovery of a variety of agricultural and food processing equipment and conveyors.
- To inspect, diagnose faults and repair all machines
- Fault Finding both Mechanically and Electrically
- Ensuring that all work complies with health and safety guidelines
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Ideally C&G / NVQ qualified in Engineering/Electrical Engineering or similar subject area
- Ideally Electrically bias with some competency mechanically
- Candidate must have experience of working in an electrical maintenance role in an industrial/manufacturing/production/food setting.
- Must be able to interpret and work from electrical drawings
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to make critical decisions
- Good communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience of working within an agricultural manufacturing environment be highly advantageous
- Experience of working with PLCs is desirable
- Ideally FLT licensed/trained but not essential as training provided
