Service Engineer

The company

A Leading global Automation supplier business based in Telford who specialise in cutting edge Automation projects, working closely with some of the world's leading businesses. After securing a number of long-term contracts with key customers, the company are seeking to expand their team and are looking for a Service Engineer to join the business working along side a small, professional Field Service Team.

The role

Reporting to the Technical Manager, A Service Engineer is now required join the team on a permanent basis to provide support, service, and maintenance to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.

You will take responsibility for:

• Customer facing multi-skilled skilled service position, responding to breakdowns on 6/4 axis robotics on a scheduled, or emergency call out.
• Diagnosis/repair/maintenance on robotics
• Communication with customers to ensure all work is met with satisfaction
• Completion of Field service reports on all customer related activity, and entering the reports into the CRM system
• Basic programming of Robotics
• Travel to sites across the UK and IRELAND 50%-75% of the time, to respond to customer issues

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Previous experience of working in an automation/robotics/technical service/maintenance role.
• Multi skilled experience on both the Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting sides
• Valid passport/Full UK driving license
• Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical technical drawings
• Must be computer literate and able to work with different software
  

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Relevant Higher level Engineering Degree would be a distinct advantage however not essential.
• Relevant experience within Robotics-such as 6/4 axis would be highly advantageous however not essential as training will be provided
• Programming experience would be desirable although training provided

On offer is the chance to join a Global Mechatronics solution provider, who offer a stable comfortable position due to their extensive list of customers such as tier 1 Automotive suppliers. A large amount of benefits such as a competitive salary of £35,000 - £41,000 (OTE £40,000 - £50,000 including overtime) and a comfortable and suitable working week - Mon-Thurs (8:15-5:00) Fri (8-12:30). A company car with fuel card, life insurance including Health cover and a lucrative pension scheme.
