Quality Engineer
The company
An industry leading Aerospace supplier based in Northampton are looking for a skilled Quality Engineer to join the team at their new site. Reporting to the Quality Director, the team requires additional support to complete some new and exciting contracts.
The role
A Quality Engineer is now required join the team with an excellent opportunity to progress and develop new and existing skills on offer to the right candidate.
You will take responsibility for:
- Ensure that all documentation is up to standard, including PPAP's and FAIR reports
- Ensure all processes are documented and maintained to the requisite standards and regulations
- Documenting quality issues, investigating non-conformances and resolving customer complaints
- A focus on general internal quality issues across the plant
- Carrying out PPAP'S, FMEA'S and APQP
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within An Automotive and/or machining environment
- Previously worked within a customer facing Quality Engineer role
- Strong knowledge of PPAP's / APQP / FMEA's
- Experience of ISO 9001 and/or 14001 is desirable but not essential
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience of system auditing is an advantage but not essential
- Experience and knowledge of AS 9100 industry standard
