The company
A global supply chain and logistics solution provider to some of the world's largest Automotive, Technology, MedTech, Industrial and Healthcare corporations. Are on an urgent search for a new team member. Due to new implementations the company are seeking a Logistics Engineer to join their Engineering team in Wolverhampton.

The role
A Logistics Engineer is now required join the team on a permanent basis.

You will take responsibility for:

• Process design, material flow and layout
• Driving the continuous improvement strategy onsite. This includes cost saving strategies and delivering measurable improvements in efficiency
• Aid delivery of cost saving projects of at least 5% per annum via continuous Improvement processes
• Work with the IT department collaboratively to ensure process design and master data are aligned
• Review and monitor headcount plan
• Work in coherence with other departments within the plant to deliver plant projects
• Ensure appropriate controls and approval processes are tightly enforced for process change
• Confident with being central contact on projects with clients

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Ideally you would be experienced in warehouse and logistics but experience in general manufacturing would also be considered
• Lean and Six sigma experience
• Competent in interpreting and analysing data
• Experience in Headcount Planning and labour planning would be advantageous
• Experience of process flow, material flow and/or VSM (Value Stream Mapping) would be highly advantageous

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• MTM SOL application
• Sap
• General CAD design would be advantageous

You will be offered a competitive salary of £33,000-£45,000.
