The company
The company are a family owned Automation process builder for a variety of key industries, working for some of the largest organisations in the world. With a relocation to another nearby site, the company are continuing to grow and looking to add to the team following the recent acquisition of a major new contract.
The role
Reporting into the Operations Director, the company are looking for an experienced Health and Safety professional to take control of the company H&S during and following the site move.
YOU will take responsibility for:
- Championing Health and Safety company wide and promoting a positive culture that enhances H&S
- Ensuring that the company is compliant with all their H&S requirements
- Investigating accidents, near misses and incidents and working on plans to eliminate future issues
- Identifying and implementing H&S training needs
- Conducting site H&S demos for new employees
- Implementing new HR processes and procedures
- Improving work flows and documentation
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL that you have:
- Member of IOSH and hold a Nebosh certificate
- Experience working within a Manufacturing environment
- Highly effective interpersonal skills and a good ability to communicate both written and verbally
- Be vigilant to H&S needs and lead the drive across the company
- Experience undertaking H&S inspections and risk assessments
It is DESIRABLE that you have:
- CIPD qualification
- Experience working on HR functions
- Experience improving processes and procedures
