Transport Planner/Manager
The company
A well-established family run business that has been running over 40 years and supplies building materials into the construction industry. They are now looking for a Planner/Manager to join their team in Stoke-On-Trent.
The role
A Transport Planner/Manager is now required who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day planning of the Transport operations. You will be working alongside 2 other planners and to help build the customer base and move the company forward.
You will take responsibility for:
- Responsible for planning workload for a mixed fleet including Moffett, cranes and 44 Tone Artic vehicles.
- Dealing with customers and sub- contractors as well as other internal and external sites.
- Sub - Contracting and planning orders.
- Overseeing day to day planning, vehicle scheduling, driver resourcing and finance
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Experience working as a Transport Planner/Manager
- Someone who is a good people manager.
- Has the willingness to help the business progress/grow.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience planning for a large fleet would be preferred.
- Managing a team of planners
- Having a Class 1 license and CPC is ideal but not essential.
