PLC Service Engineer

The company

One of the world's largest privately owned machine tool manufacturers, operating globally, supporting key OEM's operating within the Automotive industry and with a 75% share of the rapidly expanding EV Car market, with annual revenues exceeding a billion pounds. After Taking on large international contracts within the Automotive industry and now implementing a number of key automation projects with UK Automotive customers the company are now looking to expand their team and are now seeking PLC Control Systems Service Engineers to join the team.

(6 Months Working in Germany Required - Ability to travel to the UK Fornightly)

The role

A Control Systems Service Engineer is now required join the team on a permanent basis

You will take responsibility for:

• Initially required to train and build in Germany, then install and commission at key OEM Automotive Customer Site in the West Midlands over an 18-month period.
• After project completion, then required to work permanently in the field across UK customer sites
• (Electro-Mechanical) Installation, commissioning and build on Special purpose machinery.
• Fault finding, and configuration on PLC'S, Beckhoff, Siemens, S7, TIA PORTAL.
• Breakdowns and installations on Robotics primarily KUKA, ABB.
• Maintain and Service post installation.
  
  

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Experience/Ability to Fault find on PLC'S- Siemens / TIA PORTAL
• Experience/Ability to Program on PLC'S- Siemens / TIA PORTAL
• Electro-Mechanical Maintenance in an industrial/Manufacturing environment.
• Experience within a manufacturing/Engineering/Production environment.
• Experience within an Engineering role, Maintenance/Service etc.
• Experience working on Automation Projects/Machinery.

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Programming experience on Robotics, ABB, KUKA etc.
• Experience with EV drives.

Because the base rate of £45,000 is based on a 40-hour week, all Engineers are paid door to door meaning based on a standard 50 hour week engineers are earning £50,000-£65,000+.
