CNC Setter (Miller) - £27,000-£34,000
The company
A well-established privately-owned manufacturing company who specialises in subcontract CNC machining, supporting a range of industries including Automotive, Defence and the wider general manufacturing sector. Due to significant recent investment, an increase in orders and the purchase of the state-of-the-art CNC machinery, the company are looking to add a CNC Setter (Miller) to their stable team.
The role
A CNC Setter (Miller) is now required to join the team, Day shift 7.00am-4.30pm (Monday-Thursday), with overtime available every Friday paid at time and a half.
You will take responsibility for:
- One offs and small batch production.
- Machining a range of materials including, Mild Steel, Stainless steel, and Nickel Alloys such as Invar.
- Working with a range of parts, which include heavy fabrications cast iron components.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:- Previous experience within a precision machining/subcontract machining environment - Candidates from heavy engineering/fabrication sectors are encouraged to apply .
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
- Experience of CNC Milling.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:- Previous experience of working with a range of materials and heavy fabrications
- Experience of working to tight tolerances.
- Any part programming experience is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
