The Company
Our client is a multi-award-winning manufacturer of consumable goods and operates internationally across 70 countries looking to add a CNC Setter / Operator (Star Sliding Head Lathes) in Birmingham. The client transforms British-sourced stainless steel and copper sheet, tube, rod, and brass into their multi-award-winning machines.
The role
A CNC Setter / Operator (Star Sliding Head Lathes) is now required join the team on a permanent basis in Birmingham Monday-Thursday (8.00am-5.00pm) Friday (7.00am-4.00pm). The company currently have 3 CNC sliding head Lathe Machines operating 20, 32J and 32JII all Fanuc controlled.
You will take responsibility for:- Change and set up jobs on the machines, including loading programs and adjusting tools based on drawings.
- Prepare the machines for night operations and start them up in the morning.
- Verify component tolerances according to drawings and adjust machine offsets if necessary.
- Maintain a safe working environment around the machines, promptly cleaning up any oil spills or hazards.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Competent working with Star Sliding Head Lathes.
- Prior experience working in a machine shop.

Pay:
£26,500 with Overtime paid at 1.3x the hourly rate.
