The company
A global manufacturing company based in Oldbury with over 90 years in operation and over 50,000 employees. Working in the metals industry, they are looking to add to their Safety team.
The role
A HSE Coordinator is now required to join the team in Oldbury for a Global Manufacturer.
You will take responsibility for:
- Offer support on HSE issues and waste management of hazardous materials.
- Undertake inductions with new employees, contractors and support them with H&S systems.
- Carry out H&S audits, reviewing safe systems of work and identifying hazards and unsafe equipment, practices and working conditions.
- Reports and recommendations on any safety issues.
- Conduct risk assessments across the company sites and recommend any corrections to issues that arise and ensure total fire safety.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and all associated paperwork.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- 2-5 years H&S experience within an Engineering environment.
- IOSH Managing Safely Certification is essential.
- Be able to communicate with stakeholders of all levels effectively.
- Eligible to work in the UK as there is no sponsorship available.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Previous experience working in a H&S role within the metals industry.
- A NEBOSH Certification is desirable.
