The role As a
Design Engineer at their
West Yorkshire site. Reporting to the Group Production Director, you'll play a crucial role in their Engineering Design team. Ideal candidates, holding an HNC or equivalent with 2+ years' experience, will excel in 3D/2D Autocad, producing detailed engineering drawings, and contributing to innovative automated plant designs.
You will take responsibility for:- Generate 3D and 2D CAD drawings for existing equipment.
- Provide engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing and assembly.
- Apply principles of hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive systems, considering all associated components.
- Develop conceptual designs for automated production plant equipment.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design management, and project management, to ensure alignment with project goals.
What you need It is ESSENTIAL for the successful Design Engineer to have the following:- Previous experience with AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in working with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards.
- 2+ Mechanical Design Engineer in an Engineering/Manufacturing setting.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:- Experience in a wide variety of Conveyor, Process Equipment or Mechanical handling projects.
What is on offer Salary ranges from £35,000 to £45,000, with a 40-hour workweek and annual leave increasing to 27 days (years of service).
