The company:
Our client, established in the 1920's, is a respected name in high-quality hardware. They design, and manufacture products at their site based in the heart of Birmingham. They're known for their craftsmanship and quality of products and have grown substantially post-COVID. Now, expanding their team, they are looking for a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator (Milling).
The role:
A CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator (Milling) is now required to join the team permanently. You will be programming, setting, operating, and maintaining machines for our client's manufacturing and production processes. Your job is to ensure that their machines work correctly and efficiently, helping them meet production goals and quality standards. This is a 39 hours/week 7.30 am - 4.30 am (Mon-Thur), 7.30 am - 12.30 pm (Fri) with Overtime available 1.33x 2 hours OT and 1.5x 2+ hours OT.
You will take responsibility for:- Programming, Setting, and operating CNC Milling machines (Siemans controls)
- Producing accurate manufactured machined parts to exact tolerances and quality checking these parts to make sure they meet standards and requirements.
- Experience in being able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
What you need
The successful CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator (Milling) needs to have the following:- Experience as a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator (Siemens controls).
- Experience in being able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Worked in an Engineering/Manufacturing setting with CNC Milling machines
Other DESIRABLE skills include:- Experience working with CNC Turning Machines
