Java Developer
The company
Our Client is a Global Technology Consultancy, specialising in professional services across blue chip companies around the world. I am looking for skilled Java Developers who have a background in financial services/investment banking. This Java Developer role involves working with a number of leading-edge technologies, working in highly available, low latency environments, working within agile development teams.
The role
A Java Developer is now required to join the company on a full time basis.
You will take responsibility for:
- Writing Java code for enterprise services in an agile development team
- Designing a range of software implementations to meet business requirements
- Writing unit and integration tests for Java code, and collaborating with QA in development of test cases
- Creation and development of deployment systems
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Strong Java development experience
- Understanding of continuous integration systems and dependency injection containers
- Proficient in network protocols such as HTTP, TLS, TCP and web services technology such as REST, JSON or Thrift
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience in multi-threaded programming, service-orientated architecture and design patterns
- Experience work with agile development methodologies and test-driven development
