The company
A global manufacturing business based in Birmingham specialising in the supply of core Aerospace components to the world's leading Aerospace and defence manufacturers. The company is now undergoing significant expansion across its flagship Birmingham site due to a huge influx of demand with key customers and on the back of this growth are seeking an Infrastructure Support Specialist to join their IT team.
The role
An Infrastructure Support Specialist is required to join the team on a permanent contract.
You will take responsibility for:
- Providing assistance and support in line with SLA's and customer requirements
- Ensure hardware is regularly updated and meeting with compliance standards whilst also ensuring KPI's are met with
- Take responsibility for ordering of computer/support equipment and managing stock/inventory levels
- Work closely and communicate effectively within colleagues within the wider support team who are based across a number of European locations
- Process HelpDesk tickets relating to the diagnosis and resolution of software and hardware incidents, including networking, mobile devices, Windows operating systems and across a range of other applications in line with the corporate Service Level Agreements.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field
- Good understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products
- Basic understanding of both mobile device platforms (IOS and Android)
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Manufacturing experience or background
- Multi-site experience or experience co-ordinating across multiple large scale sites
- Large Infrastructure experience
