The company
The company are an employee-owned digital transformation consultancy based in Leeds. With offices in Leeds and London, they have seen significant growth across both sites on the back of an increase in business from several clients. This has resulted in the need for a Java Developer to join the team on a remote basis.
The role
A Java Developer is required to join the team on a remote basis. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
You will take responsibility for:
- Working as part of the team who is responsible for the delivery of technical solutions
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across wider departments
- Contributing to solution designs and assessment of ongoing changes
- Reviewing other team members' work
- Regularly demonstrating work to Senior Leaders
What you need:
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Good Software development practices and fundamental experience
- Solid experience programming with Java
- Good knowledge of RESTful Web Services
- Experience using HTML and CSS
- Good knowledge of SQL or other databases
- Experience developing highly interactive web sites or developing resilient and high concurrency integration systems
- Agile software development experience and source code management using GIT or other tools
- CI/CD experience
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Knowledge of Spring Boot
- Knowledge of other databases such as NoSQL
- Performing code reviews
- Design Skills experience
- Experience developing within Continuous Integration environment (Jenkins, Jira, or GitHub)
- Cloud Technology experience
- Good knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience using Hibernate, JPA or other ORM frameworks
What is on offer
On offer is the opportunity to join a large digital consultancy based in Leeds on a full-time basis. There is also a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000. Due to the company being employee-owned, there is also a bonus of between £2600- £3400 annually. Annual bonuses are of course based on the success and performance of the business so this is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business where you will have a direct financial incentive and benefit from the companies ambitious growth plans.
