- Description
You will take responsibility for:
- Lead the innovation of new and improved DevOps processes, practices, and tools. With an emphasis on making processes easier or automated
- Working towards the goal of bringing the development and infrastructure departments closer together that will allow for closer collaboration and ensures that applications can be deployed frequently, accurately and without complication
- Working with new clients on fact finding before the projects begun
- Working on Cloud and Hybrid infrastructure for deployment, configuration, maintenance, and the upgrade of the systems
- Manufacturing templates and automation for implementations using Ansible and Terraform
- Confirming that all software versions can be rolled out to the correct environments with the specific configurations with speed and efficiency
- Management and maintenance of development and support tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines
- Collaborating with both the Infrastructure and Development teams on various projects
- Co-ordinating the control and implementation adjustments in production systems
- Make contributions to the improvement of the wider teams and company
What you need:
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Good DevOps expertise working with Cloud based technologies such as AWS, Azure, Ansible or Terraform
- Good experience in the management of complex multi-level enterprise infrastructure environments as well as cloud monitoring
- Knowledge of serverless computing concepts
- Great understanding of configuration management, automation and scripting skills
- Experience using programming languages such as Python or Ruby and experience of scripting tools such as Bash
- Good knowledge of platform and application automating deployment tools and technologies
- Exposure to working within teams of agile development methodologies
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical language
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Experience working within a Technology consultancy to gain client-facing exposure
- Experience collaborating with executive management
- Experience leading technical teams
