The companyA global manufacturing business based in Birmingham specialising in the supply of core Aerospace components to the world's leading Aerospace and defence manufacturers. The company is now undergoing significant expansion across its flagship Birmingham site due to a huge influx of demand with key customers and on the back of this growth are seeking an IT Systems Analyst
The role An IT Systems Analyst is required to join the team on a permanent basis.
You will take responsibility for:- Manufacture a strong understanding of the current processes and procedure that are used by the company's manufacturing teams
- Develop an understanding on the current MES application to provide additional support across the business
- Plan, create and implement system design changes, improvements, and fixes
- Improvement, maintenance, and support of solutions that are constructed on the Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI amongst others
- Provide technical and operational support/ solution design for Oracle EBS in either Manufacturing, Inventory, Order Management or Quality Modules
- Interpret business requirements, from analysis and design, through to functional support
- Keep record of new processes, sustain existing knowledge bases and process documentations
- Constantly willing to adapt and learn new technologies as the job requirements, technologies and organization dictates
What you need It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- 1 year experience required
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or related field from an accredited institution
- 5 years of business systems analysis and support experience
- 5 years' experience C#, xml, .net, Visual Basic, Python,
- Advanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and operations
- Proficiency with SQL and database query tools (SQL Developer, SQL+, SSRS, SQL, SQL Server)
- Strong relationship skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers, other analysts, and management
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Solid understanding of systems analysis, design, and programming techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience translating business requirements into system functional and non-functional requirements
- Functional knowledge of Oracle EBS in either Order Management, Manufacturing, Inventory, or Quality
- Willingness to learn Powerhouse 4Gl, COBOL 85 & 77, PASCAL, SPL, Fortran 66 & 77
