The company
A global manufacturing business based in Birmingham specialising in the supply of core Aerospace components to the world's leading Aerospace and defence manufacturers. The company is now undergoing significant expansion across its flagship Birmingham site due to a huge influx of demand with key customers and on the back of this growth are seeking an IT System Analyst.
The role
An IT System Analyst is required to join the team on a permanent basis.
You will take responsibility for:- Design, plan, and execute system design changes, updates, and other initiatives
- Develop applications using C#
- Translate business requirements, through analysis and design, and develop into solutions
- Interface with business users in a professional manner to understand their requirements and analyse requirements to plan and develop solutions technologies
- Document new processes, maintain existing knowledge bases, and process documentations
- Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in job requirements, changes in technology, and changes in the organization.
- Learn the existing custom MES application to provide additional support to the business
- Work with Business Stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
- Work with business and IT Teams to design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or related field from an accredited institution
- 1-3 years' experience C#
- Advanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and operations
- Strong relationship skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers, other analysts, and management
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Solid understanding of systems analysis, design, and programming techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with translating business requirements into system functional and non-functional requirements
- Willingness to learn Powerhouse 4Gl, COBOL 85 & 77, PASCAL, SPL, Fortran 66 & 77
