An opportunity to work within a critical governmental body/department who take responsibility for key construction & infrastructure projects within the London region- offering a unique chance to work within a key part of the region's ongoing development.
The role
Working as part of the Management Team, reporting to the Engineering Manager, an Electrical Engineer/Technical Advisor is required to support high profile projects and assist with the demands and requirements of a 24/7 operational site.
You will take responsibility for:
- Driving strategic direction across a number of key engineering operations utilizing professional and influential expertise and acting as a senior authorized person for day-to-day electrical activities.
- Work within a leading capacity of Capital Investment Projects
- Ensuring relevant statutory, internal, technical, and professional standards are met.
- Leading and mentoring the professional development of staff whilst assessing and assuring their technical capabilities.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Must be professionally qualified/certified in electrical engineering
- Be SC cleared or have the ability to gain security clearance
- Experience of working in a leadership and able to demonstrate competency in a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) role or equivalent
- Must be strategically minded with excellent problem-solving skills and confident working a long side specialist contractors and International Partner Organisations.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Ideally will have chartership status
- Knowledge of carbon emission issues and MEICA legislation and standards and well versed in Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW), Construction Design Management (CDM) and PSSR management systems and BIM.
