The company
A global manufacturing business based in Birmingham supplying into the world's leading Aerospace and defence Industries. The company is now undergoing significant expansion across its flagship Birmingham site due to a huge influx of demand with key customers and on the back of this growth are seeking a CNC Machinist to join their Test House department.
The role
A CNC Machinist is now required to join the team to work on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern alongside the Test House team.
You will take responsibility for:
- Operating CNC Vertical Milling Machines
- Operating CNC Lathes
- Operating Saws
- Changing of Jigs and entering new programs
- Carrying out Various testing such as stress corrosion, fracture toughness and tensile testing
- Analysing Materials and imputing quality records
- Driving Lean Manufacturing processes and working to Health and Safety guidelines.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Must have previous CNC Machining Experience
- Programming experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
- Good communication skills and comfortable to work to deadlines.
- Quality and Safety awareness.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Knowledge of CATIA and/or Alan Bradley PLCs would be highly advantageous.
- Crane and/or forklift experience would be desirable, however not essential as training would be provided.

Anything after 48 Hours is paid at £17.75.
