The company
A global food manufacturing business with a core focus on sustainability through innovative packaging and manufacturing processes, supplying into some of Word's major retailers. Due to a huge influx of demand with key customers and on the back of growth are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team at their Coventry based facility.
The role
A Maintenance Engineer, reporting into the Maintenance Manager, to join the Maintenance Team at their Coventry Facility.
You will take responsibility for:
- Preventative and Reactive Maintenance of plant machinery and electrical systems whilst keeping downtime to a minimum
- Electrical fault finding (Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs)
- Responding to breakdowns and conducting both electrical and mechanical maintenance checks as needed
- Complying to electrical safe systems and initiating improvement processes across the factory
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- The ability to use and interpret electrical or mechanical drawings
- Good knowledge and understanding of PLCs (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley)
- Must be computer literate and a strong communicator with have a good attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Must have good knowledge of EHS Health and Safety requirements in a maintenance/manufacturing environment.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
- Knowledge or experience working with Allen Bradley would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
- Ideally you will be electrically qualified with 17th/18thedition qualifications
- Apprentice trained or NVQ Lvl 3 / HNC qualified in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or a similar discipline would be advantageous
