The company
One of the UK's Largest Steel processing Manufacturers and leading supplier of galvanised steel. As a result of recent substantial growth on the back of significant investment, they are now looking to expand their Maintenance Team at their Dudley based site.
The role
A Maintenance Engineer is now required to join the business to take responsibility for the execution of day-to-day maintenance across their Dudley based facility.
Monday-Friday - 06:00 - 14:00
You will take responsibility for:
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair work on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- To conduct welding and fabrication tasks (MIG/TIG/ARC), machining processes (Turning/Milling/grinding), and sub-assembly work
- Fault Finding both Mechanically and Electrically
- Ensuring that all work complies with health and safety guidelines
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
- Candidate must have experience of working in a mechanical/electrical maintenance role in a heavy engineering / high pressured manufacturing environment.
- Ideally 17th/18th Edition Certified with good working knowledge of 3 phase electrical control systems, circuits and motors.
- Experienced with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
- Ability to interpret and work from schematics and technical drawings.
- Must be well versed with Health and Safety in high-pressured environments.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:- Familiarity with slitting / decoiling and plate processes would be highly advantageous.
- Previous experience of Oxy-fuel cutting would be desirable.

With further opportunities and lots of overtime available, you will benefit from a salary of up to £36,000 (OTE £42,000+) and working: 06:00 - 14:00 - Monday-Friday.
